On Sept. 12, Lawrence High School hosted the first gymnastics quad meet of the year. The lions went up against Freestate, Shawnee Mission Northwest and Shawnee Mission East.
Individually, three varsity level gymnasts medaled.
Senior and team captain Allison Williams took second place on vault and the balance beam, and received fifth place on the uneven bars.
Additionally, in the category of all-around city medalists, Williams took fourth.
Junior Heather Wisbey earned a fourth place medal for her balance beam routine and sophomore Ashley Ammann’s floor routine received a fifth place medal.
As a team, LHS received a third place trophy for an overall score of 91.8.
