Showtime fans begin lining up

showtime_lm

With the curtain set to go up at 7:30 p.m., two LHS parents didn’t waste any time lining up for Showtime.

Senior Kelsey Consolver’s parents, Ronda and Dan Consolver, were sitting in lawn chairs outside the auditorium doors at 12:15 p.m. The annual choir show draws crowds every year and the auditorium was partially filled with parents for the dress rehearsal on Wednesday night.

Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available for $7 in the school finance office and the Clinton Parkway Hy-Vee.

The Consolvers explained what drew them to be the first in line for opening night.

What was your motivation to get in line this early?

“To be the first in line, and to get front row seats.”

Who is the student you’re here to watch the most?

“Kelsey Consolver”

Is this the first year you have sat out really early?

“Last year we got here at 2 o’clock, but this is the earliest we have sat out.”

What are you looking forward to?

“We will attend the show all three nights, and it gets better each night.”

What do you do to pass the time?

“We bring work, or our iPad, and Kindle, and books and snacks to pass the time by.”
