Clubs, athletes and Homecoming candidates following behind the marching band as Lawrence High School celebrated it’s annual Homecoming Parade down Massachusetts Street.

The annual celebration was sweetened with lots of candy thrown on to the sidewalks for students and children. The parade began at 2:35 p.m. — giving students an early break from the day and a chance to get in the spirit of Homecoming before Lawrence High School kicked off against Olathe Northwest. Homecoming candidate crowning was planned for halftime and the Homecoming dance is Saturday.
