Monday, Feb. 19

Fellowship of Christian Students meets at 7 a.m. for bible study in Room 162. All students who wish to participate are welcome to attend. Also, FCS members would like to pray for you if you have needs that you would like to share. Use the QR codes posted around the building to submit your prayer requests.

Writers Club meets at 3:15 p.m. in Room 217 (Ms. Johnson’s room). Students who enjoy creative writing can come and write with others. Members will share prompts with each other, write together, and volunteers are welcome to share their work. 

Boys basketball has 3 games against Shawnee Mission North at home. Freshman A team plays at 5:45 p.m., freshman B and sophomore team play at 7:15 p.m. 

Girls basketball has a c team game against Shawnee Mission North at home at 5:45 p.m.

Choir has its annual Pop’s Show in the auditorium at 7 p.m.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 20

Chesty’s Academy Tutoring is offered 3:15-5 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in Room 212 (Ms. Henry’s Room) for anyone who needs help with homework after school.

Pride Club meets from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in room 328.

Pokemon Club meets from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in room 326. 

Boys basketball has 2 games against Shawnee Mission North at home. JV plays at 5:45 p.m. and varsity plays at 7:15 p.m.

Girls basketball has two games against Shawnee Mission North at home. Varsity plays at 5:45 p.m. and JV plays at 7:15 p.m.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 21

Françamis: The French Club meets from 1:30-2:45 p.m. in the French Room, Room 353.

LASO Club meets at 1:40 p.m. in room 341.

Orchestra has its small ensemble showcase in the auditorium at 6 p.m.

 

Thursday, Feb. 22

Chesty’s Academy Tutoring is offered 3:15-5 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in Room 212 (Ms. Henry’s Room) for anyone who needs help with homework after school.

Philosophy Club meets 3:15-4:15 p.m. in Ms. Murray’s room, Room 211 to discuss mind-boggling questions and moral dilemmas while in a safe and honest environment.

Boys basketball has 3 games against Gardner Edgerton. Freshman A team plays at 4 p.m., freshman B team plays at 5:30 p.m., and sophomore team plays at 7 p.m.

Girls C team basketball has a game against Gardner Edgerton at home at 5:30 p.m.

 

Friday, Feb. 23

Fellowship of Christian Students meets at 7 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays in Room 148. Students are invited to build caring friendships, strengthen their faith, pray for our school, and serve the community.

Girls basketball has 2 games against Gardner Edgerton at home. JV plays at 4 p.m. and varsity plays at 5:30 p.m.

Boys basketball has 2 games against Gardner Edgerton at home. JV plays at 5:30 p.m. and varsity plays at 7 p.m.

There will be an ACT Test prep class to help students prepare for the ACT on February 27.  Students will learn several test taking strategies and walk away with test prep material.  Register using the QR Codes around the building or see your email for a link.  The cost is $25.  Bring your registration fee to student services; you can pay cash or checks made payable to Lawrence High School.  

All juniors have been pre-registered to take a free ACT in February. This year the test will be digital and students will need to bring a FULLY charged iPad. Monitor emails for more information as test day approaches!
