Monday, Dec. 11

Fellowship of Christian Students meets at 7 a.m. on Mondays for Bible study and Fridays for prayer in Room 162. All students who wish to participate are welcome to attend. Also, FCS members would like to pray for you if you have needs that you would like to share. Use the QR codes posted around the building to submit your prayer requests.

Writers Club meets at 3:15 p.m. in Room 217 (Ms. Johnson’s room). Students who enjoy creative writing can come and write with others. Members will share prompts with each other, write together, and volunteers are welcome to share their work.

Both freshman boys’ basketball teams play at Blue Valley Southwest. Team A plays at 5:30 p.m., team B plays at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 12

Chesty’s Academy Tutoring is offered from 3:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in Room 212 (Ms. Henry’s Room) for anyone who needs help with homework after school.

Pride Club meets every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in room 328.

Pokemon Club meets every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in room 326. 

All girls’ basketball teams compete at Blue Valley West. C-team plays at 4 p.m., JV plays at 5:30 p.m., and varsity plays at 7 p.m.

Dolce has a concert in the auditorium at 7 p.m.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 13

Françamis: The French Club meets from 1:30-2:45 p.m. in the French Room, Room 353.

Can We Talk & SAFE club will have a meeting this Wednesday in room 203 at 1:30  p.m. At the end of sixth hour, grab and eat your lunch, and then meet us in room 203. Snacks will be provided. New members are always welcome. 

LASO Club meets at 1:40 p.m. in room 341.

Chesty lion conversations are happening in the auditorium at 1:45 p.m. All athletes regardless of season are required to go.

Girls’ soccer will have an informational meeting on Wednesday, December 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the Learning Commons. Tryouts for girls’ soccer will begin on February 26. 

All boys’ soccer teams compete at home against Blue Valley. Freshman plays at 4 p.m., JV plays at 5:30 p.m., and varsity plays at 7 p.m.

 

Thursday, Dec. 14

Philosophy Club meets 3:15-4:15 p.m. in Ms. Murray’s room, Room 211 to discuss mind-boggling questions and moral dilemmas — all the while in a safe and honest environment. 

Boys’ freshman basketball team has a game at Shawnee Mission East. Team A plays at 5:30 p.m. and team B plays at 7 p.m.

 

Friday, Dec. 15

Fellowship of Christian Students meets at 7 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays in Room 148. Students are invited to build caring friendships, strengthen their faith, pray for our school, and serve the community.

The LHS Thespians are going to the annual Kansas Thespian Festival in January. 28 of the  Thespians are competing in various categories ranging from Acting, Musical Theatre and Technical Theatre, and Design.  They will be doing a showcase of their pieces on December 15th at 5:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. This will serve as a way for everyone to see their hard work and help them raise money for the cost of the Thespian Festival with raffle prizes and a suggested entry fee of a $5 Donation. Come support the LHS Thespians as they set off to the State Competition and help send them off with the best of luck!

Boys basketball has games at Shawnee Mission East. The sophomore team plays at 4 p.m., JV plays at 5:30 p.m., and varsity plays at 7 p.m.

Girls basketball has games at Shawnee Mission East. JV plays at 4 p.m., c-team plays at 5:30 p.m., and varsity plays at 5:30 p.m.
