This Week at LHS: Nov. 12-18

Monday, Nov. 13

Fellowship of Christian Students meets at 7 a.m. on Mondays for Bible study and Fridays for prayer in Room 162. All students who wish to participate are welcome to attend. Also, FCS members would like to pray for you if you have needs that you would like to share. Use the QR codes posted around the building to submit your prayer requests.

Writers Club meets at 3:15 p.m. in Room 217 (Ms. Johnson’s room). Students who enjoy creative writing can come and write with others. Members will share prompts with each other, write together, and volunteers are welcome to share their work.

Pre-med club meets at 3:15 in room 154.

Tuesday, Nov. 14

Chesty’s Academy Tutoring is offered 3:15-5 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in Room 212 (Ms. Henry’s Room) for anyone who needs help with homework after school.

Pride Club meets every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in room 328.

Pokemon Club meets every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in room 326.

Wednesday, Nov. 15

Françamis: The French Club meets from 1:30-2:45 p.m. in the French Room, room 353.

Can We Talk & SAFE club will have a meeting this Wednesday in room 203 at 1:30  p.m. At the end of sixth hour, grab and eat your lunch, and then meet us in room 203. Snacks will be provided. New members are always welcome. 

LASO Club meets at 1:40 p.m. in room 341.

Thursday, Nov. 16

Chesty’s Academy Tutoring is offered from 3:15-5 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in Room 212 (Ms. Henry’s Room) for anyone who needs help with homework after school.

Philosophy Club meets 3:15-4:15 p.m. in Ms. Murray’s room, Room 211 to discuss mind-boggling questions and moral dilemmas — all the while in a safe and honest environment.

Friday, Nov. 17

Fellowship of Christian Students meets at 7 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays in Room 148. Students are invited to build caring friendships, strengthen their faith, pray for our school, and serve the community.

LHS Fall 2023 Blood Drive — Students in the Medical Interventions class want to say thank you to the 83 students, staff and community members who came in to donate blood at our recent blood drive. 83 people registered to donate blood, 60 units of blood were collected, and together that could help save 160 lives. Thank you for making a big difference in our community.

Track and field will begin to have their pre-season workouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting November 28th. Meet in room 281 at 3 p.m.
