Monday, Oct. 2
Fellowship of Christian Students meets at 7 a.m. on Mondays for Bible study and Fridays for prayer in Room 162. All students who wish to participate are welcome to attend. Also, FCS members would like to pray for you if you have needs that you would like to share. Use the QR codes posted around the building to submit your prayer requests.
Varsity golf competes in the third leg of the Sunflower League Tournament at St. Andrews Golf Course at 1 p.m.
Writers Club meets at 3:15 p.m. in Room 217 (Ms. Johnson’s room). Students who enjoy creative writing can come and write with others. Members will share prompts with each other, write together, and volunteers are welcome to share their work.
JV football has a game at home against Shawnee Mission North at 6 p.m.
C-team soccer has a match at home against Shawnee Mission Northwest at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 3
Talent Show try-outs begin. Can you sing, juggle, dance, rap, act, play an instrument or have another special talent the world should absolutely see? You are wanted! Talent Show Try-outs are Oct. 3-5 after school in the Black Box Theater. You can try-out in person or send a video try out digitally to Ms. Thomas by midnight on Friday, Oct. 6. Pick up your try-out form and rules or scan the QR code in Student Services. The Talent Show isn’t until Wed. Nov. 1, so you have plenty of time to perfect your performance. Got Questions? Pokemon Club meets every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in room 326.

Wednesday, Oct. 4
Book Club meets at 1:35 p.m. in Room 217 (Ms. Johnson’s room).
LASO Club meets at 1:40 p.m. in room 341.
Environmental Club hosts a Green Halloween party at 1:45-3:00 p.m. in room 197. Student leaders will share ideas about how students can make a difference in the environment and students will make posters. Snacks are provided, bring your own water.
Françamis: The French Club meets from 1:30-2:45 p.m. in the French Room, Room 353.
Can We Talk & SAFE club will have a meeting this Wednesday in room 203 at 1:30 p.m. At the end of sixth hour, grab and eat your lunch, and then meet us in room 203. Snacks will be provided. New members are always welcome.

General Notes
LHS Powder Puff Football returns this year, 1-5 p.m. Oct. 29 in the LHS Stadium. The Flag Football event will feature female, female identifying/presenting and non-binary students. All other students may sign up as coaches and/or cheerleaders with a team registration. Students can pick up a team registration form from Coach Trow’s room (281). There is a $5 registration fee for each student listed on a team. All registration forms must be turned in to Coach Trow by 2 p.m. Oct. 25.
Pick up your activity ticket in the main office. Temporary activity tickets are no longer valid. Activity Passes will get you in at no charge to all varsity home regular season events tournaments and postseason excluded. The cost of an activity ticket is $25 but many students have already paid an activity ticket because of their involvement in sports or other KSHSAA activities including school music groups and debate or forensics.

Senior yearbook ads for the class of 2024 are on sale now. Photo retakes are scheduled for Monday, Oct. 9 in the Learning Commons, Room 311. Most LHS students with no school photo taken have had times assigned to them. Times have been emailed to student email addresses.
