Monday, Sept. 19

Spirit Week day’s theme: Minion Monday.

Homecoming Dance Guest Approval Forms are located in Student Services. Forms are due noon on Wednesday.

Starting today, an Activity Ticket will be required for free admission to athletic events. Students without an activity ticket will have to purchase a student ticket for $5. Tickets are cash only. Pay for your activity ticket in the Finance Office (inside the Main Office).

Unified Bowling Forms Deadline: For students interested in Unified Bowling, the last day to submit the required athlete forms is Sept. 19. All required forms must be uploaded on www.registermyathlete.com and marked complete to participate in tryouts on Sept. 26.

Varsity Golf plays at 1 p.m. at Sunflower Hills Golf Course. Opponents include Gardner Edgerton, Free State, Mill Valley, Olathe East, Olathe North, Olathe Northwest, Olathe South, Olathe West, Shawnee Mission East, Shawnee Mission Northwest, Shawnee Mission South and Shawnee Mission West.

Varsity Tennis faces Shawnee Mission Northwest and Shawnee Mission West at 1 p.m. at home.

Pre-Med Club meets at 3:15 p.m. in Ms. Leuschen’s Room (Room 154). Students interested in the Health Science Fields are encouraged to join.

Fellowship of Christian Students meets 3:15-4 p.m. in Room 162. For students interested in building caring friendships, strengthening their faith and praying for our school. See Ms. Reimers if you have questions.

Wrestling preseason workouts. Workouts will take place 3:30-5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meet in the West Gym Lobby. Preseason workouts continue through Oct. 28.

JV Tennis plays in a dual at Shawnee Mission Northwest at 3:30 p.m.

JV Football plays Shawnee Mission East away at 4:15 p.m.

C-Team and Freshmen Volleyball compete in a tri starting at 5 p.m. at Olathe West.

Varsity Gymnastics travels to Emporia for a meet starting at 5:30 p.m.

C-Team Soccer plays Olathe East at home starting at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 20

Chesty Academy After School Tutoring takes place 3:15-5 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday in Ms. Henry’s room (Room 212).

International Club meets at 3:30 p.m. in Room 257.

JV Soccer kicks off at 5 p.m. against Olathe East at home.

Intertribal Tribal meets at 1:45 in Room 350.

Latin Club meets after school in Room 246.

Varsity Tennis plays a dual in Bonner Springs at 3 p.m.

Black Student Union will have its first meeting from 1:45-2:45 p.m. in the cafeteria. Snacks will be provided.

Unity Step Team practices at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The group is taking on new members. To join, sign up in Room 281.

JV Tennis plays a dual against Bonner Springs at home starting at 3:30 p.m.

Freshman Football plays at 5:15 p.m. at Olathe East.

C-Team Soccer plays at 6:30 p.m. away at Shawnee Mission South.

Homecoming Parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Staging for the parade will start at 6 p.m. just east of Ousdahl at Clifton Court. The parade will end on campus at 7 p.m.

Rally Around the Lion begins directly after the parade at 7 p.m. between the gyms and main parking lot.

Thursday, Sept. 22

Spirit Week day’s theme: PJs.

Homecoming Assembly will feature members of the Homecoming court and the court video. The first assembly will start at 9:30, and the second will start about 10 a.m.

The Homecoming football game kicks off at 7 p.m. The Lions play Olathe East.

Homecoming crowning will take place at halftime of the football game.

Saturday, Sept. 24

Varsity Cross Country runs at 8 a.m. in a University of Kansas invitational at Rim Rock.

C-Team Volleyball competes at 8 a.m. at Olathe West. Opponents include Blue Valley North, Blue Valley Southwest, Free State and Mill Valley.

JV Volleyball competes at 8 a.m. at Bishop Miege. Tournament includes Basehor-Linwood, Notre Dame de Sion, St. Michael the Archangel, St. Teresa’s Academy and Turner.

Varsity gymnastics competes in a Sunflower Meet starting at 10 a.m. at home in the east gym.

The Homecoming Dance starts at 7 p.m. at the school.

Sunday, Sept. 25

The Hall of Honor ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. in the atrium.
