Ideas become prom reality

Fancy dresses, expensive dinners and the senior class: it can add up to one great night.
But prom would not be what it is without an amazing setting. While attendees may be in awe of the decorations,  most do not think about how they got there. They do not think about the time, money and energy put into prom decorations by some students.
Setting up for prom costs about $2,000, all of which comes from ticket sales. Students usually spend a lot of time decorating, going in at 9 in the morning on the day of the dance.
“On the day of prom we have a lot of people working,” said Stuco adviser Jason Lichte said.
Usually all of the underclassmen in Stuco help with the prom set-up. The early start is done to save money.
“We put in a lot of time ahead of time to save money on the back end,” Stuco adviser Jason Lichte said.
After the dance, thankfully, Stuco spends a lot less time cleaning up.
“It’s much easier to destroy than put up,” junior Noel Fisher said.
