Don’t be surprised if you hear someone holler “fore!” next time you’re perusing books at the library.
The Lawrence Public Library is kicking off a new mini golf display with a party for adults Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, the mini-golf course is open to families of all ages. The prices are $5 per person to play nine holes of mini-golf. Children younger than 3 are free.
Lawrence Lions took part in creating three of the 18 holes for the mini-golf course. The fourth-hour engineering class built the warm-up 10th hole of the golf course. Four of the boys in that class — Darrin Sorem, Matt Zabel, Collin Belcher and Stephen Bell — built the seventh hole. Their creation is a trick hole in a pool table formation.
