Lions Pride holiday sale underway

Lions Pride is selling LHS gear online as well as during lunch and after school today and Tuesday, Dec. 13.
The sale is taking place in the conference room next to the school finance office. Among the items for sale are hoodies, T-shirts, baseball shirts, sweatpants, shorts and spirit jerseys.
Tell me about what you’ll be doing in the holiday sale this year?
“Typically in the past we have done a Holiday sale on the first Saturday in December, but we’ve decided to [primarily] try online this year instead. We are hoping that we still get enough sales to support the things that we fund for. The problem that we’ve had with Saturday’s is that there’s always other holiday sales in town. We were competing with events this year like the Christmas parade and a holiday sale at the Holidome. There’s also a debate tournament that first weekend so it’s tough to get people to come.”
What items will you be selling?
“We have a variety of T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and we’ll always be putting new things online. We also put certain things on sale as time goes on.”
What does the money you raise go towards?
“We donate about $3,000 for senior scholarships. Six seniors received $400 each based on their academics and their involvement in school activities. We also give about $5,000 every year for teacher grants for things teachers want for the classrooms. Lions Pride also does all of the Link Crew T-shirts and donate those. Field trips are another thing we give money for.”
