May 16, 2016
The Lady Lions soccer team opens up their playoff push this Tuesday, May 17.
Finishing one of the most successful seasons in recent memory at a record of 7-9, the Lions earned the 12th seed in the 6A Northeast Regional. The team will face off against the fifth seeded Olathe East Hawks, who come in with a record of 10-5-1.

The two teams face off at the College Boulevard Activity Center in Olathe at 7 p.m. The winner advances to the Regional Championship against the winner of fourth seed, Shawnee Mission South, and the 13th seed Olathe South. The Lions lost to Shawnee Mission South earlier this season, 6-1, and lost to Olathe South earlier, 4-2.
The championship game will be held on May 20, at the Shawnee Mission District Stadium at 7 p.m. with a trip to the eight-team state tournament on the line.
