Black Violin, a group that will be performing Thursday at the Lied Center, gave two performances during school Wednesday. The group mixes elements of classical and hip hop music, which had students students up and dancing during their performances.

Kevin Sylvester and Wilner Baptiste, who met in high school, are the group’s violinist and violists. They encouraged students to “think differently.”
