Friday Sept. 28 turned one senior girl and boy into royalty; the homecoming king and queen were to be crowned during halftime. They rolled onto the track making a grand appearance on golf carts, waving to their friends and family in the crowd. It was time for the candidates to make their way onto the football field, with returning homecoming king and queen Reid Hildenbrand and Kelsey Kilburn to pass down the legacy. Tristan Alfie was named homecoming king and Lindsey Fangman as queen. By the end of the night, not only were two students announced royalty, but so was the football team, who came out with a 34-27 victory against Olathe South.
