Steve Watkins, Republican Candidate for The U.S. House of Representatives 2nd Congressional District

Platform:

  • Further secure borders and restrict illegal immigration
  • End Obama’s Affordable Care Act
  • Reject Pro-Choice legislation

“I support Steve Watkins, he is a moderate. I like that he’s an outsider and hasn’t really participated in politics in the past and will uphold most of the Republican party’s agenda but is truly bipartisan and moderate.”

-Vanya Racy, senior

Paul Davis, Democrat Candidate for The U.S. House of Representatives 2nd Congressional District

Platform:

  • Supports Medicare
  • Stronger borders
  • Increase public education funding

“I support him mainly because he is a good moderate voice to have in the house, and I don’t jive with Steve Watkins. He doesn’t have the history of civil service that Paul Davis has.”

-Jalyn Banks, senior

“I like her policies, like economic policies, because Kobach and other republicans have got us in a place we don’t want to be. Laura Kelly is more supportive of funding and education that will have more economic benefits than just low taxes and low spending from recent administrations.”

-Jalyn Banks

Greg Orman, Independent Candidate for Kansas Governor

Platform:

  • Address health care disparities and medicaid expansion
  • Legalize medical marijuana
