Prom will undergo a change in venue and type of music this year. Instead of hearing a DJ play music, students this year will listen to a live band. The dance will also take place at Liberty Hall instead of the KU Ballroom.

STUCO decided they will be welcoming Sellout, a band that plays covers of music from the 70’s and 80’s to now.

Junior class president Diamonique Vann said the entire event should be a lot of fun.

“I honestly think that having a live band this year will just be something different for everybody and a nice change of pace,” Vann said.

Prom will be held at 9 p.m. on May 6 at Liberty Hall. This year will not have a theme, but will still be a lot of fun.
