Every year, when the temperatures drop, LHS holds a dance, Winter Formal, in the rotunda. Before the dance, students nominate six couples to be on Winter Court. Once the six couples are chosen, an assembly is held in the auditorium to give the student body information about their Winter Court nominees. The students then vote on a couple, and the couple is crowned on the night of the dance.
