On Oct. 5, LHS junior Griffin Hardy helped save a life. He was working the cart shift at the local Target when he noticed a customer stumbling in the parking lot. She was unable to speak, so he helped her to a bench where he noticed a pump on her waist. He recognized the similarity to one his grandmother has and realized the woman was likely suffering from low blood sugar. He then called for milk and a candy bar from a fellow employee. After consuming this, the woman was able to talk and walk again. Since the incident, Griffin has received attention from local news outlets and has also earned the nickname: “Griffin from Target.”
