Sunday, Sept. 10
The Spirit Squad will host its Little Lions clinic for children from preschool through fifth grade from 1 to 3 p.m. in the gym. Children will learn motions technique, basic stunting (older children), have fun and learn a dance routine to perform at halftime of the LHS versus Shawnee Mission East game on Sept. 15. Monday, Sept. 11
Fellowship of Christian Students meets at 7 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays in Room 148. Students are invited to build caring friendships, strengthen their faith, pray for our school and serve the community.
Varsity tennis will host a quad on the LHS tennis courts at 3 p.m.
Writers Club meets at 3:15 p.m. in Room 217 (Ms. Johnson’s room). Students who enjoy creative writing can come and write with others. Members will share prompts with each other, write together, and volunteers are welcome to share their work.
Sign Language Club will meet on Monday, September, 11th, from 3:20-4pm in Mrs. Silvers’ classroom, room 137. This club is for everyone, even if you don’t know any signs. If you can’t attend the meeting, join our Google Classroom to learn with our videos and stay updated about future meetings and events. The Google Classroom code is dzvf4i3.
C-team soccer faces Gardner Edgerton on the road at 5 p.m.
JV football will play Olathe West at home at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 12
Chesty’s Academy Tutoring is offered 3:15-5 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in Room 212 (Ms. Henry’s Room) for anyone who needs help with homework after school.
Boys Wrestling has an informational meeting after school in the Learning Commons, room 311.
Pride Club meets every Tuesday from 3:15-4:15 in room 328.

Françamis: The French Club meets from 1:30-2:45 p.m. in the French Room, Room 353.
Varsity tennis will play at the Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka at 9 a.m.
Chesty Lion Conversations will be held in the auditorium for all student athletes at 1:45 p.m.
JV tennis will have a quad at home at 3:30 p.m.
C-team and freshman volleyball will have a home triangular at 5 pm.

Thursday, Sept. 14
Varsity golf plays in a tournament at Prairie Highlands Golf Course in Olathe at 1 p.m.
JV golf plays in a tournament at Tomahawk Hills Golf Course in Shawnee at 3 p.m.

General Notes
Lawrence High Artists are exhibiting their art (drawings, paintings, collage, photography and sculptures) at S&S Artisan Pub and Coffeehouse during the month of September. An artist reception will take place from 4-6 p.m. Sept. 23.
Activity Passes will get you in at no charge to all varsity home regular season events tournaments and postseason excluded. The cost of an activity ticket is $25 but many students have already paid for an activity ticket because of their involvement in sports or other KSHSAA activities including school music groups and debate or forensics. Activity tickets may be picked up in the finance office or watch for a table during lunch.
