Saturday, Aug. 26
Lions Leap Dance, the first dance of the year, will be at 7 p.m. between the gyms. Entry is $5, and there will be dancing and games. The theme is Chesty’s Wild West.
Unity Step Team is hosting a free Step Team Clinic for all those interested in joining the step team from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Aug. 26 in the LHS Pom Gym.
Monday, August 28
The deadline to join no-cut fall sports is noon Monday. The entry portal will close at noon. Complete paperwork through www.aktivate.com. Forms may not be submitted in person. The registration portals for all winter and spring sports will remain open.
The girls golf team faces multiple schools at a tournament at 1 p.m. at Lawrence Country Club.
Fellowship of Christian Students meets at 7 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays starting Aug. 28 in Room 148. Students are invited to build caring friendships, strengthen their faith, pray for our school, and serve the community.
Open House night starts at 6:30 p.m. Parents can meet with their students’ teachers to learn what is in store for the year.
Tuesday, Aug. 29
The Expectations Assembly is on Tuesday during students’ fourth hours.
Boys soccer JV and varsity teams play their first game of the season at Topeka High. JV starts at 5 p.m. Varsity starts at 6:45 p.m.
The freshman through varsity girls volleyball teams will have their season opener on the road versus Blue Valley Northwest. Freshman and JV play at 5:30 p.m. Varsity and C teams play at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 30
The girls JV tennis team will dual Saint James Academy from 3:30-6:30p.m. at home.
The girls volleyball C team will have multiple matches at home starting at 5 p.m. in the main gym.
Thursday, Aug. 31
School portraits will be taken in the Learning Commons for students who missed the July photo day. Check your school email for more details starting early in the week. Find order information at this link.
Girls varsity tennis faces off in a quad meet at 3:30 p.m. at Leavenworth High School.
All levels of volleyball will face off against Olathe South at home. Freshman and JV play at 5 p.m. Varsity and C teams compete at 6:30 p.m.
JV and Varsity Boys soccer take on DeSoto at 5 p.m. Aug. 31 on the LHS soccer field. JV plays at 5 p.m. followed by varsity. A paid ticket or an Activity Ticket is required. An activity ticket will get you in at no charge to all varsity home regular season events, tournaments and postseason excluded. Student ID’s are not accepted. The cost of an activity ticket is $25. Activity tickets may be picked up in the finance office or watch for a table during lunch.
The freshman football team goes up against Olathe South from 6-8 p.m. at home.
Wrestling Club is starting back up and having its first meeting at 7 p.m. in the Learning Commons.
Friday, Sept. 1

JV Football takes on Olathe South at 5:30 p.m. on the road.

Activity Passes will get you in at no charge to all varsity home regular season events — tournaments and postseason excluded.
