Tying a black armband, junior Arabella Gipp helps build support for journalism staff concerns on March 29. At least 320 armbands were worn by students and staff at Lawrence High and Free State.

Photography teacher Angelia Perkins was among the teachers and staff to join students in wearing black armbands on March 29 in support of the journalism staffs concerns about Gaggles monitoring and its impact on First Amendment rights. Some of her students had artwork impacted by Gaggle in the first weeks after it was implemented.
